A retired U.S. Army veteran and nurse, he died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at his home in Batchelor. He was 67 and a native of New Orleans. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal for his service. Religious service at Prevailing Word Christian Center, Innis, on Monday, Sept. 20, at noon, conducted by Pastor Kenneth Honore Sr. Interment in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Batchelor. He is survived by his wife, Maudry Bell Ladmirault; mother, Frances Ladmirault, of New Orleans; a daughter, Toni Ladmirault, of Tennessee; four stepdaughters, Sharon Jones, of Batchelor, Lila Bilal and husband William, of Baton Rouge, Beverly and husband Pastor Kenneth Honore, of Zachary, and LaKeitcha and husband Douglas Bell, of Baker; two stepsons, Michael and wife Mabel Bell and Ray and wife Arlene Bell, all of Florida; two sisters, Gezell and husband Wayne Galbreth, of Mississippi, and Sandra Doucette, of New Orleans; sisters-in-law, Irma Ladmirault, of New Orleans, and Betty Jones, of Houston; a brother, Troy Sr. and wife Suzanne Ladmirault, of New Orleans; brothers-in-law, Louis Bell, of Texas, and Leroy Bell, of Virginia; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a dog, Paco; and an uncle, Lucier Justin. He was preceded in death by his father, Elliott Ladmirault; a granddaughter, Ganell; and a brother, Rene. Arrangements by A. Wesley Funeral Home of Maringouin.
