Elsa Hansen, beloved wife, mother and grandmother gracefully passed away on July 5th, 2018 at her home in Canal Fulton, Ohio surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elsa was born on August 16, 1926 in Lien, Sweden and emigrated to the U.S. with her family in 1928. They lived in Pontiac, Mich. She married in 1948 to Thomas P. McGuire. While raising five children, they moved to Canal Fulton, Ohio in 1964. After her husband Thomas passed in 1973, Elsa moved to Naples, Fla. She later married William E. Hansen and they enjoyed eight wonderful years together. She truly enjoyed living in Florida for over forty years.

She was preceded in death by father, Herbert Axel Danielson; mother, Christina Lindberg Danielson; husband, Thomas Patrick McGuire; second husband, William E. Hansen; daughter, Catherine Christine McGuire; brothers, Stig Danielson, Kjell Danielson, Eric Danielson and sister Anne Danielson Lynn. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Thomas McGuire (Rebecca) of Austin, Texas, Bruce Lawence McGuire (Nancy Bullock) of Wilmington N.C., Daniel Robert McGuire (Carolyn) of New Franklin, Ohio, Thomas Kevin McGuire (Sue Modzeleski), of North Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Ayn McGuire, Gibson McGuire, Jennifer Jones, Heather Pelko, Megan McGuire, John McGuire, Thomas McGuire, Catherine McGuire and great-grandchildren, Zach, Jacob, Anna, Jackson and Grant.

Lighting up every room, Elsa was always a joy to be around. She was independent, kind, colorful and beautiful - a perfect role model. The family's hope is that the difference she made in so many lives will live on and inspire others.
