Elsie Helen Jones

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of a great mother and grandmother on Saturday November 6, 2021. Elsie, in her 93rd year was predeceased by her much loved husband, Eli Jones (2016). She was the beloved mother of Glen, Deborah (George), Philip (Laurie), Brant (Carolyn), daughter-in-law Kathy, sister Gladys Wilson and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Alan (2017), brother Hank Purdy (Jackie), brother-in-law Ken Wilson, Cliff Jones (Ruth), and sister-in-law Stella (Ellwood) Bowen. Elsie was a devoted wife to Eli for 69 years and together they raised Hereford cattle, attending many local fairs and were lifetime members of the Ontario Hereford Association. Elsie was a long time member of the Powles Corner Women's Institute. Above all, she was a kind, caring and loving person that didn't know how to speak a cross word. A special thank you to the staff at Caressant Care Retirement Home, Lindsay and Fenelon Court. The family will receive friends at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE 8 Princes' St. West, Fenelon Falls on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. . Masks and social distancing are mandatory for the people in attendance at the visitation. A private family funeral with interment at Eden Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Salvation Army Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
