Pawtucket – Leon C. Boghossian, Jr., 83, a lifelong resident of Pawtucket, passed away at home on Friday, March 18, 2016. Leon was the devoted husband for 57 years of Susan (Bozigian) Boghossian and proud son of the late Leon Boghossian and Victoria (Brazilian) Boghossian. In addition to his wife, Leon is survived by his beloved children, Leon C. Boghossian III (Karen), Dr. Stephen P. Boghossian (Liana), and Licia Dwyer-Langford (Jamie). Leon was also the adoring grandfather of Alex and Matthew Boghossian, Tara Dwyer, Sosy and Ani Boghossian. Leon was predeceased by his brother, Kachig Boghossian, whom he loved very much. Leon was a 1949 graduate of Pawtucket East High School and a 1953 graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he was a proud member of Phi Mu Delta. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Leon later earned an MBA from Northeastern University. He then dedicated himself to educating young men and women at the Community College of Rhode Island as an Accounting Professor. Leon truly loved his students and fellow teachers, many of whom became lifelong friends. In addition to his wife, family and career, Leon loved spending his free time at the Pawtucket Country Club. He could think of nothing better than playing a round of golf and numerous hands of gin with his dear friends at the club. These two passions were passed down to his wife and three children. Towards the end of his life when he was no longer able to play golf, he continued his friendships with many coffee shop gatherings, all possible through the physical and emotional generosity of his dear friend Jack Devaney. Leon and his entire family are forever indebted to his and his wife's caretakers, including Michelle Santos, Cindy Sloane, Kelly DePina, Jeanne Gilbert and Dora Rather. Leon was a true gentleman who would give you the shirt off of his back. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence. Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery. VISITATION will be Monday 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Church or the John P. Burke Caddy Fund, 1 Buttonhole Drive, Suite 2, Providence, RI 02909-5750 would be appreciated. To the Boghossian Family
My sincere sympathy. I just returned home from vacation and Paul told me of your loss. I read all the messages and can only add he never missed greeting me with that wonderful smile. Remembering all the fun times at the PCC pool. MY prayers.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring you some comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Dear Dad: It is late on Easter Sunday and I found myself wanting to talk to you all day. I guess this is going to happen every time a holiday or special occasion comes up. I have been having a hard time accepting that you are no longer here with us- that you are not lying on the couch in your living room watching TV. I have so many memories of you - enough to last me the rest of my lifetime here on earth and for that I am very grateful. You and I shared a very special father/daughter bond. It's so amazing to me that you were one of the finest college professors during your teaching years, yet communication between us was not always easy. You may not have always spoken the words that I needed to hear during some trying times in my life, but somehow, you knew what I needed from you and you delivered your message to me in a unique and sincere way. There were so many of those times in my life that I depended on you for support and comfort and answers and you never failed me - even toward the end of your life you found the strength to guide me in mine. I don't believe that time heals our pain or that "it gets easier". I will forever grieve the loss of my great father. It is because of you that I am the woman I am today. I have a wonderful husband and daughter. Tara is lucky that you were part of her life for almost nineteen years and were able to help guide and mold her into a respectful and kind young lady. You had such a great impact on her life as well as on Jamie's life. He loved you as much as he loved his own father and is feeling quite sad that you are gone. He will miss all of your talks and times spent together. Dad, I have so much more I want to say to you but I think for now I will just say that I love you so much, I miss you so much, and I will never go a day without thinking about you and all that you mean to me. You were a special father, a man of few words but a man with a heart full of love and kindness and compassion. Happy Easter Dad and enjoy resting in God's hands where you will forever remain safe and free from any more pain and suffering. Mom is doing well. We are all taking great care of her and she knows you are keeping an eye on her. When she is ready, the two of you will be together again in heaven where everything is possible!

Dear Boghosssian Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences for Mr. B. It was delightful to be in his company, especially out on the links. His dedication as a husband and family man was matched by his dedication to teaching the thousands of young men and women who were lucky enough to be his students. He had a wonderfully dry sense of humor, and such a kind and gentle disposition.
We are keeping Mr B and all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
All our love,
Ted, Nicole, & Clyde

It is with sadness that I read of Mr Boghossian's passing. In the 80's I attended his class in Accounting at CCRI. He taught with such caring that I would never go into class without my assignments being done. Sincere condolences to all who loved him.
