I was so very, very sorry to hear of the death of Eva, and am grateful to her library colleague Gwen for telling me. She helped me tremendously when I was researching my children's novel, by phone, letter and in person, which takes place in Squirrel Hill. Her memory and enthusiasm were prodigious. I spent a delightful afternoon with her in her apartment, and we found ourselves to be fellow readers and kindred spirits. I can only imagine the loss to the family. May her memory be for blessing.

I was so sorry to read about Mrs. Perrin's passing. I will never forget the many discussions we had in Montefiore's Gift Shop. It's not the same without her there. She was a great woman.
