To The Hicks Family, May GOD Bless You and Strengthen You all During this Most Difficult Time! May GOD's Eternal Light Forever Shine on Elvin's Soul! I Praise GOD and Thank HIM for Giving Me the Opportunity of Being a Part of the Hicks-Wesley Families. Elvin was not Only My Cousin but was also a Big Brother to Me. Growing up in a City like Gary, IN it was an Honor for me to have mentors like the Hicks Brothers and Sisters to look up to and Direct my path. Elvin was Special because He possessed many Talents including being an Outstanding Basketball Player. He was just ahead of His Time! Clearly one of the Best to Ever Play the Game in Gary. Elvin loved His Family and His Friends and was clearly Someone you could depend upon at all Times! You will Always be a Hero to Me!!! May You Rest in Peace my Brother, Cousin, and Friend!!! With Eternal Love!!!

To the Family of Elvin Hicks you have my deepest sympathy in his death but heaven gain. I have known Elvin since childhood days growing up on Adams street. Elvin and family from Floyd down was like brothers to our family. We had many fun days at the neighborhood house Froebel School games and picnics. As well as our house. Elvin loved family and loved friends. Froebel chain has been broken by death not the love we have for our Classmates. Elvin will be missed but now receive what God promised Eternal life. Flame and Blue forever love for you never dies.
