If I had to describe Elvira Ramirez with one word, I'd have to say 'Awesome". Of course, there are many wonderful descriptive words for her but in my mind, she was the most awesome person I've ever met. She was a great presence of life, epitome of womanhood, my role model, as well as my baptism godmother. She took time when my own mother passed to be there for me. I will never forget her selflessness and encouraging words. She and my godfather, Humberto, are with their compadres, my parents, Jesse and Josie Orta, in Heaven now. I will pray for her and for those of us still left on this Earth who will miss her every day. I only hope that I can show the strength that my godmother has displayed for others in need. My deepest sympathy to the Ramirez family. Denise Orta-O'Neill (Lancaster, CA)

Jesse & I want to express our deepest sympathy to the Ramirez Family and grandsons. She was an outstanding individual and way ahead of her times. She had such a magnetic personality and was so full of energy. She will be missed by those who loved her and were so close to her. Nothing can replace the of loss of a mother or grandmother. She has gone to heaven to join her husband and mother and all her canasta and bunco friends. Humberto is waiting for her so he can have a partner to dance with. God bless all the family.
