I grew up knowing the Bluth family in Mapleton. The older sons were my age and we did a lot of things together. Mrs Bluth was an excellent cook and made wonderful cookies. She also came from a very musical family and encouraged her children to be musical. Her brother Sam Pratt played flute in the Utah Symphony Orchestra and Louise Pratt, his wife, played the harp. I remember the extreme joy when Suzanne was born; the boys finally had a sister, their previous sisters having died as infants.
