Emilee Sainsbury Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 11, 2007.
Emilee Beth Sainsbury
Our beloved little angel Emilee Beth Sainsbury returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on December 8th, 2007, at her home in Covered Bridge Canyon, Spanish Fork, Utah. Emilee was born December 30, 1986 in Orem, Utah to Sterling Bailey and Cindi Whittaker Sainsbury. Despite her extremely painful illness, Emilee remained good-natured and always made those around her laugh.
Emilee loved sports. Known by family and friends as ÔEmmo,' she played basketball while at Spanish Fork Jr. High and enjoyed participating in the Jr. Jazz program. Emilee loved going with her dad on date nights and cheering for her favorite teams, BYU and the Utah Jazz.
Emilee was quiet and spiritual, and she loved teaching her little primary class each Sunday. Emilee understood the responsibility of helping her Ôlittle ones' gain strong testimonies of Jesus Christ. Music was always an important element of Emilee's life. In fact, Emilee was a member of the GrobanitesÑthe original Josh Groban fan club. She personally met Josh and enjoyed traveling around the country going to his concerts. His music truly lifted her. Emilee had a beautiful voice and she loved singing with her mother and sisters.
Emilee is survived by her parents: Sterling and Cindi Sainsbury, grandparents: Karron and Alan Whittaker, Clara Jackson, Cleleo and Beth Jensen. Siblings: Jordan and Megan Sainsbury, Christopher and Cami Sainsbury, Haylee and Colter Whiteley, Jenalee and McKay Sainsbury and her little nephews, Gavin and Talmage. Emilee has many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved dearly. Her grandfather C. Bailey Sainsbury and Uncle Michael Whittaker preceded Emilee in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12th at the Canyon Ward building, 3477 East River bottom Rd. Spanish Fork, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 10:00. Interment in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

To the Sainsbury Family,
I was one of the unfortunate ones who never got to meet Em in person. But, I am one of the "Grobanite" groups who considered her 'family'.
What a beautiful child..her beauty inside and out took my breath away. She cherished her family and was kind enough to share stories and pictures. What a precious, precious child that was lost.
All of you will be in my prayers. Please be aware that Em will not be forgotten by any of us. There is no way we could let something as beautiful and precious as your special child slip away from us. She will be in our hearts always..

In Love,
Nancy Latimer

I was so sad to hear of Emilee's passing. She was such a wonderful and sweet girl. I met her at a Grobanite dinner and picked her up several times when she came up to Salt Lake to our dinners. She rode with me to Vegas one year to see Josh. The last time I saw her was in Vegas this year. She has such a sweet spirit and will be missed by all her Utah Grobanite friends.

We are sorry to here about your loss. We know that her mission here on earth has been completed and she has gone onto a divine mission in heaven. Although I am sure you are aware of this it is hard to let someone so young and beautiful go from your lives. We wish you all the best and again are sorry for your loss.

I was surprised to hear about Emilee this past weekend. I met her about 4 years ago through the Grobanites and saw her several times at dinners, concerts, and rode with her to Vegas once. I'll miss her, but I know she's finally out of pain and is happy.

I probably won't be able to be at the service or viewing, but I wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you for a loving Heavenly Father to give you the comfort and peace that you will need in the coming days ahead.
