Emilie Erwin Obituary
She will be dearly missed. Emilie came into this world on July 28, 1984. Since childhood, Emilie was a fierce animal lover and advocate. Throughout her career in public relations and animal healthcare, she worked for several area veterinary hospitals and volunteered at local animal shelters. Her greatest joy, though, was being a mother to her beloved daughter, Sofia.
Emilie is survived by her daughter Sofia Erwin, mother Pamela Erwin, father John Erwin, and brother David Erwin. She attended Upper Dublin High School and furthered her education at Penn State University where she earned her degree in Public Relations and Advertising.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) and PSPCA (Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
A future Celebration of Life Service will be private.
May Emilie's passion for animals and her dedication to their welfare continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Emilie outside the planetarium at Sandy Run in 7th grade. I thought she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. I asked Jake Ricci who she was and he told me, that's Emilie Erwin. I even thought her name was beautiful. My heart breaks for the Erwin clan and especially young Sofia. Sending all my love.

Even though we haven't spoken in years. When I moved to Upper Dublin in HS she was one of my first friends and always cherished her kindness, smile and loyalty. One of my closest high school buddies and the girl with the biggest smile. I will miss you so much Em. Praying for God's provision and protection as you watch over us all in heaven.

Emilie was a bright light and a sweet soul who was as funny as she was caring. We worked together and were friends and even though we haven't been in touch for many years, I can feel the void in this world with her being gone far too soon.

Emilie,
You will always be one of my favorite people I´ve ever met. We had the type of connection that came so naturally and whether we were talking for the first time in our lives or hadn´t spoke in years, there was a genuine relatability, trust, joy and appreciation for one another.
You were such a bright and beautiful light with the kindest heart and the best sense of humor. I feel so lucky to have met you and only wish we had more time together. Sofia is so blessed to have had such a loving person as her mom. My heart breaks for her but I know you will be guiding and loving her all along the way. I only hope you know how special you are to so many.

To my dear friend Emilie: even though we hadn't seen each other in a few years, you will always have a piece of my heart. We spent so much time together in our youth and into adulthood. I am who I am today because of our time together and I will cherish it forever. My heart aches knowing you are no longer here. I miss you and I will love you always.

Emilie came into my life as a friend of a friend, but very quickly became my friend. She immediately made me feel welcomed into her inner circle and like a sister. She was so strong and fierce, but also kind and caring. I have many wonderful memories with her. We lost touch a bit when I moved away from the Northeast and I have always regretted that. We came to know Emilie through her beautiful and bright daughter, Sofia. The little happy crayon drawings of sunflowers, cats, a little girl and sunshine that Sofia gave to us, we could feel the love and joy of Emilie and her family.
