Emily Begallie Obituary
Emily Mary Begallie was born on 11/13/1932 in Cambridge Ohio, the daughter of John and Anna Sebek. She worked full-time raising two children as well as working at the rectory of St. Matthew's Parish and at Little Forest Nursing Home as a Nurse Aide, both in Akron, Ohio where she lived for the majority of her life until moving to Jacksonville Florida, then ultimately Fort Myers, Florida.
Emily had a profound impact on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a beacon of kindness, strength, and grace who touched many lives with her warm smile and generous spirit. And if you were fortunate enough, you received some of her amazing Christmas baking.
Above all, Emily was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two children, Daniel Begallie (Elizabeth) and Teresa Begallie, along with three grandchildren, James, Amelia and Connor and her beloved puppy, Sparky. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Cyril George Begallie who passed in 2017 and her sister Martha Karaiskos in 2015.
Emily's legacy of love, family, and friendship will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will be forever enshrined in the hearts of her family and friends.
The memorial service to honor Emily Begallie's life will be held at 9:30 AM on August 17th in Fort Myers, Florida at St. John XXIII Catholic Church where her ashes will be interred next to her husband Cyril. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. John XXIII Catholic Church in Fort Myers, Florida in memory of Emily Mary Begallie.
Emily was loved by many and will be dearly missed, but her spirit lives on in the lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
