Emily Elizabeth Denny

Emily Elizabeth Denny passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was 26 years old. Emily was born an identical twin on September 18, 1995, at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Chester, PA. Emily graduated from Ridley High School in 2013 and went on to graduate from Philadelphia University with a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, in 2019. She was an occupational therapist for Christiana Care and loved her patients so much. She would always go above and beyond for them because as she would say "that's what God would want me to do". In her short life, Emily learned a lot about the importance of giving back. She was selfless and always went out of her way to help other people. She was a member of United Church, in Delaware, where her love for God grew stronger. Emily's faith was beyond compare and she always had a positive outlook on everything. Emily also had a big love for the beach, arts and crafts, traveling, animals, and her friends and family. Her smile was infectious and lit up any room she walked into. Emily is survived by her loving mother Erin Denny and twin sister Hannah Denny, LT USN, her Uncle Craig Denny and cousin Brayden Swanson, her Aunt Renee and cousins Mary and Seamus O'Hara, cousins Denise, Lauren, Sarah, Gerry, and Gene Gibbons; sister Jessica Watts; brother Ryan Watts; grandparents, Charles and Nancy Denny, Stacy Jarman and cousin Abigail Adams; her boyfriend Joshua White, many many extended relatives and dearest loving friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, July 19th, at New Destiny Christian Center (542 Wesley Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 United States). Viewing from 11am-1:45pm, service at 2pm. There will be light refreshments in the back after the service. The burial will be a private event on Thursday, July 21st. Emily's Celebration of Life fundraiser will occur at Haggerty's, on Wednesday, July 20th, at 6pm. Located at 2373 MacDade Boulevard, Holmes, PA 19043.
