To this day, I have an Emily heart-shaped empty space within me. All who knew her would say the same thing.

Emily was the best organist i ever had. I will never forget her ready smile and her bouncey red hair as she directed the choir while playing the organ.

As the Interim Minister at Skidaway Is. Presbyterian Church I was impressed with Emily's wonderful ability to engage so many cultural opportunities for the residents of Skidaway Is. She would contact and promote such programs as a Night with Frank Sinatra, The Canadian Brass, a boy's choir from Europe and an English touring group of singers and so many others. People were hungry for programs of cultural quality and Emily provided them so well for the community.. She was truly a woman of warmth and class in the finest sense of the word.

Rich,
I just heard about your mother's passing Feb,5. I still find it hard to believe. I was the minister that hired her at Skidaway Presbyterian. She was the best organist I ever hard ( out of 12 I worked iwth).
I still remember her playing Rondo in G by John Bull with such energy and skill. There are a number of world renowned organists that perform the piece on you tube but none play it as well as your mother. I felt so sorry for her when your father died and was happy when she remarried. We talked several times after I left Skidaway. She was so excited for you and proud of you acting.
May God bring many happy memories to mind and hold before you the hope of Christ Harriss Ricks
