EMILY MINOR Obituary

MINOR--Emily Brown Chadbourne, died peacefully on October 30, 2009, at the Osborn Home in Rye, New York, aged 94. Mrs. Minor was born in Manhattan on March 7, 1915, only daughter of Frank M. and Lily B. Chadbourne. She graduated from Nightingale-Banford School in 1931, and Barnard College with a degree in chemistry in 1937. In December of 1937 she married Allen H. Minor, a medical student at Columbia University. The Minors moved to Rye in 1946. Mrs. Minor was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church, the League of Women Voters, and a volunteer at Grace Church, White Plains. Mrs. Minor is survived by her four children, John, Kathleen, and Caroline of California, and Jane of Queensland, Australia; fourteen grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on December 3rd at 11am at Christ Church, Rye.
