Emma Allen Obituary
Sustained by her faith and zest in life, she was beloved by all. A high school graduate, she continued to learn, being an avid reader and amazing her grandchildren with her mastery of the Internet. She worked many jobs and made many sacrifices to support her children before retiring from management at Public Storage. We are grateful for her wise guidance. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church and active in the Inter-Faith Council of churches.
Survivors include her children, Harry Lee, Sharlette Dye, Carolyn Dye; grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher, Jeremy, Emma, Wolfgang; her siblings, Chester, George, Billy and Sam. (her beloved son Jerry Dye pre-deceased her, as did siblings, Pauline, Edgar Ray, Gerald and Henry.) Visitation is 3-8 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood. Funeral service will be September 11, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. also at Stoess. Interment will follow the service at Resthaven Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to South Oldham Inter-Faith Council of Churches.

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved her so dearly and will miss talking to her and emailing. Memories of her will be with me for the rest of my life. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and all around person, so jovial and caring. Knowing she is in a better place, I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry I couldn't be there for you.

Carolyn, Sharlette, Harry,
I'm so sorry to hear of Aunt Pearl's passing but she was blessed to die peacefully and with no long term suffering. I always thought a lot of Pearl, especially her enthusiasm for life, her smile and sense of humor. I have prayed for Pearl's soul and her family. I'm sure she is in God's arms. What an amazing mother you all had, I know she will be greatly missed, may the many memories remind you of the love and joy she had for each one of you. I certainly know that I will miss a special kind lady that I was blessed to have lived next door.
