Emma Fetscher Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 2, 2022.
On March 2 we lost our North Star. Matriarch. Last family member of her generation. Mom. Mom-mom. Great Mom-mom. Mother-in-law. Aunt Emma. Auntie Em. Cousin Emma. Mrs. Emma. Emmie. Married to Edward for 38 years before his passing in 1989, and mother to Edward (Linda), Michael (Janice) and Jane (Richard). Loving Mom-mom to Tim (Michelle), Lisa (Lowell) and Eddie (Debbie), and Great Mom-mom to Tim Jr. and Kyla, Titus, Jairus, Charity, Tabitha, Boaz, Patience, Lazarus, and Teagan. And friend to Ellie, the late Gloria, the late Paula, and Ruth. She saw 100 and managed to get through COVID unscathed. She loved her family, hot dogs, grilled cheese on rye, soft pretzels, an occasional glass of wine or beer, and breakfast anywhere especially with the 'boys' at Tate's or friends at Andonio's. She worked at W.B. Saul HS and volunteered for the American Cancer Bike-a-thon for many years with her Nick. Always present. Always there to help in any way she could. And ALWAYS planning and thinking ahead. We will miss your laugh and quick humor. You are now at peace and home with Dad. We love you and miss you, but know you are always here in our hearts. The family respectfully requests donation to the American Cancer Society, the Madregot (Special Needs) Fund at Har Zion Temple or a charity of your choice. Viewing is Monday evening, March 7, 6-8 PM at John Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154 and Tuesday morning, March 8, 9-10 AM with Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19115. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn.

I am so sorry to hear about Emma passing. She was such a good neighbor from Mutter St. She drove and was always willing to pick us up from visitation. She continued to be a good friend to my mom when we moved to Harrowga and she moved to Olney. She actually got my mom a job wrapping meat loaf at Albert Kaye's (I think that's what it was called). I am so sorry I didn't know about her passing. Thank you Janie for the voicemail. I wish I could of gotten together with her to reminisce. Hope to get in touch with Janie. Prayers to Ed, Michael and Jane and her whole extended family. She was great friend to our family!
