Emma Ransom Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 25 to Nov. 27, 2009.
RANSOM , Emma Colleen October 25, 1990 - November 21, 2009 Emma passed away suddenly at the age of 19 years in a tragic motor vehicle accident on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Emma is lovingly remembered by her siblings Matty Ransom, Jackson Ransom, Hannah Ransom and Jodi Vincent; parents Colleen and Paul; Grandparents Edna Jeffrey, and Fred and Leona Ransom; as well as all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by countless family friends, school friends, teammates and acquaintances. Emma was predeceased by her Grandpa Ted Jeffrey. Emma was a sweetheart from the day she was born. An extremely bright and positive young woman, she loved to play soccer, ski and be with family and friends. A student at SAIT Polytechnic, Emma was working towards her dental assistant diploma. Her stunning smile provided only a small glimpse of her warm spirit, kind heart, and inner beauty. She was a beautiful young woman with so much to offer. We are immensely saddened that her true life potential will never be realized. She will be fondly remembered as a wonderful daughter, loving sister, fabulous friend, and a kind soul to all who encountered her. We will always love you Emma - Mom and Dad. A Celebration of Emma's Life will be held at Deerpark United Church, 77 Deerpoint Road S.E., Calgary on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE & CREMATORIUM, 12700 Macleod Trail South, Calgary. 403-297-0711. www.scfcentre.ca Honoured Provider of Dignity Memorial

When a tragedy such as this strikes, it is hard to find words or understand. All we can suggest is to try and remember all the positives of such a beautiful life and keep those memories in your heart. Perhaps your daughter is in such a beautiful place now that we are unaware of. She would want you to go on and love those that are here. Just take it one day at a time. Our prayers are with you all. My son went to school with Emma and recently shared some memories of times spent with her over the years. His memories are happy ones shared with a girl that loved life, lived it to the fullest and brought joy to others.

May we all take her example and learn to live each day to the fullest. I will hug my children close and keep your family in my prayers during the difficult days ahead. Emma, may your bright smile live on in the hearts of those that loved you.

My beautiful Angel Emma, You will never know how much you touched my heart. All you would have to do is smile and I would laugh. You have such a beautiful soul. Thank you for being an amazing friend to my sister Katelyn. I thought of you as a sister of my own. You took a piece of my heart with you.
Ransom family, Emma will be loved and missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. What an amazing daughter and sister. She will live on through the many people that she touched. My support and love goes out to all of you.

A beautiful pink bow and 19 ribbons adorn a tree in front of Lake Bonavista Elementary in your honour, Emma. In the spring the blossoms on this tree will replace the ribbons but keep your memory alive. You are remembered fondly by the staff of Lake Bonavista School.
