GREENSBORO - Mrs. Emma Lee Martin Williamson, 84, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member, with The Rev. Richard Wright officiating. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Williamson was born on November 7, 1921, in Guilford County, a daughter of the late William and Rosa Cook Martin. She was a former employee of Brown Hills and Prago Guyes Ladies Clothing Stores. Mrs. Williamson was one of the last charter members of Lebanon Baptist Church.
Survivors include her four children, Jackie Baxter Goodwin and wife Shirley of Greensboro, Nancy Goodwin Tate and husband Charles of Reidsville, James Larry Goodwin of Pompano Beach, Fla. (Kindred Rehab) and William Harry Goodwin of Greensboro; two grandchildren Robert A. Costner of Reidsville and W. Keith Goodwin of Randleman; three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude A. Williamson in 1993, a sister, Mary Bettini in 2004 and two grandsons, Jackie Bryan Goodwin and Forrest Kevin Goodwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Baptist Church, Hicone Rd., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the Church fellowship hall.
