I think of Enid often. Miss her laugh and the way she crinkled her nose when she laughed. Rest in heaven dear friend.

Ruth, Enid's sister, was my best friend and next-door neighbor in elementary school. I always admired Enid. She was like the older sister I never had. She used to sing Girl Scout songs to us and I remember her being very kind and full of faith. She was one of my heroes. I am sorry for her passing.

Thoughts About Enid
We just heard that Enid passed and are so saddened for all of us who knew and loved her. Where does one start when a special friend passes? Enid brought a unique collage of attributes that always amazed me. She was a very positive, down-to-earth, creative person who always made you feel good to be around. She was one of the strongest, caring and optimistic people Ive ever had the pleasure to know and to learn from. Ill miss her laugh and the sincerity of her faith.
I first met Enid in high school and by extension, Ruth, her mother and father. Over the years, weve kept in touch by occasional emails, holiday wishes and of course, her newsie Kent Kronicle and our annual Valentines letter. Our Valentine letter came back this yearI
I hadnt seen Enid or George in many, many years but my wife and I and our toddler came to visit a few years ago while on a trip to AZ. It was as if we hadnt missed a beat. So warm and welcoming! As we were getting ready to leave, Enid gave us a childrens book she had written and George disappeared for a minute and came back with a little gift for our two year old son. Thank you for that memory!
We can only offer our deepest condolence to George, Heather, Scott, Ruth and other family members. Enid was an amazing person. We will miss her deeply and we hope the beautiful memories you have will be of some support to you all.
With love,
Alan, Megan and Reuben

I just now found out that my friend Enid died on Christmas. I am so sad. I didn't receive her latest "kent Chronicles" but they are sometimes late, so I had no idea. She was a great friend at Elmhurst and we have always stayed in touch through the years. My heart goes out to her family- she will be greatly missed in all our lives.

Dear Kent Family,
I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Enid's passing. As always, I expected her to come through this latest challenge as she always had before. May your memories comfort you. I know that she touched the lives of so many through the church and through teaching. My thoughts are with you in your time of sorrow. Enid will be missed. There is a huge hole in our world without your dear wife and mother.

I am so sorry to hear of Enid's passing.
I feel blessed to have known her and been friends since the 6th grade. She put her positive energy into everything she did and wouldn't let any adversity stop her. She touched the lives of so many people ..especially her students.
Praying that God surrounds you with comfort and peace. With love, Carol

I am so sorry to hear of Enid's passing. She was far too young. She was an important part of the staff at Trinity while I was there -- a spark plug for hospitality, welcoming, and fun. The.best.cook.ever. Blessings to all of you as you move through a season of grief and loss. Deborah Lerner
