Enrique Pagan Obituary

Enrique Garces Pagan, 78, of 502 Crestview Road, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in San German, Puerto Rico, Mr. Pagan was a son of the late Antonio and Mirella Lugo-Garces Pagan. He had retired from the U.S. Army as a master sergeant after 33 years of service, where he served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam. Mr. Pagan was a member of Pickens First Baptist Church where he was also a member of the Men's Bible Class.

Surviving are his wife, Noris Luz Pabon Pagan of the home; two sons, Roberto E. Pagan of Ladson and Ret. Major Miguel A. Pagan of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Carmen P. Gardner of Pickens; one brother, Roberto E. Pagan of Boston, Mass.; seven grandchildren, Nichole Gilstrap of Simpsonville, Lindsey Gardner of Pickens, Ester Johnson of Taylors, Noemi Pagan of Charleston, Josue Pagan of London, Ky., Miguel Pagan of Summerville and Andy Yoo of Houston, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Justus Johnson of Taylors and Julia Pagan of London, Ky.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Pickens with the Rev. Fred Stone officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home in Easley and will be placed in the First Baptist Church in Pickens at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 406 East Main St., Pickens, SC 29671.

The family is at the home.
