Eric Alley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 1 to Apr. 7, 2018.
Eric Taylor Alley passed away March 21, 2018 at the age of 27. He was born July 18, 1990 to Art and Janet (Taylor) Alley in Edmonds, WA, and grew up in Brier, WA. He was active in football and baseball throughout his entire youth, playing on the varsity football team at Mountlake Terrace High School from his freshman year until he graduated in 2009. One of his family's favorite sports memories was his out of the park homerun he hit on the E3 field at the age of just 12. After high school Eric began his career as an HVAC technician, spending free time with friends and family. His love of sports and the outdoors could be seen in his passion for snowmobiling, snow-boarding, fishing and skate-boarding, and he surprised others constantly with the ease by which he seemed to excel at everything he did. His talents weren't limited to sports alone; he enjoyed playing the guitar and his sense of humor was perfectly timed and infectious. Eric's smile and passion for making other's do the same is what he'll always be remembered for. Eric is survived by his parents, Art and Janet; brothers, Nathan (Denae) Alley and Justin (Ashley) Grover and their daughter, Lily; sister, Ashley (Trevor) Gill and their daughter, Kendall; grandparents, Pat and Stan Alex, Scott and Vicki Taylor, their children, Jessica (Spencer) Elliott, Breanna Taylor, Scott and Dawn Stump, their children: Taylor (Nolan) Williams, Holly, Hunter and Maysen; Evelyn Kimball her children, John Muir and Chadau Creger, MaryEtta and Dick Reynolds and their children, Angie (Duncan) Sprague and Brian and Marilyn Reynolds; many cousins and extended family, and girlfriend, Amy Deller. Son, brother, family comedian. Forever in our hearts. May you rest in peace. A memorial service will be held at Edmonds Yacht Club, April 8, 2018, 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Recovery Café - Everett, P.O. Box 2373, Everett, WA 98213 or Not One More notonemore.net

Eric, this is your Aunt Cindy. I loved you so much. I remember when you were little snowmobiling with the family, you and Christina were so cute. You two would ride maybe 10 feet and you both would stop and get off your snowobiles and check something out, this happened every 10 feet, everytime you guys were together snow mobiling. I have no idea what you 2 were looking for, you and Christina were inseparable in those days, favorite cousins for sure. I know in the next life when you and Christina are together again you two will still be having fun looking for something together. I was very proud of the man you became, you always had a good job and took care of yourself. Rest in peace and know I will never forget the awesome man you were, and will never forget you. I love you..

Art and Janet, my heart just aches for you. I'm sure there is no loss more painful than that of a child. Eric was such a sweet kid who grew to be a kind young man. I know my girls have many many fond memories of growing up with your boys. Eric, as the youngest proved to be quite a sport ( as some of those old photos prove). I
know they thought of him as the younger brother they always wanted. I am grateful that you, Eric and Nathan have been a part of our lives. Eric will certainly be deeply and profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him. You are on my mind and in my prayers.
