Bill, as I write this message I sit here stunned at discovering your loss. It was only through sending our traditional Christmas email (that bounced back) that I sensed something was wrong. I found you on Facebook and only then did I learn of your loss of your beloved son Eric. There are no words to express how much my heart is aching for you and your family. I cannot imagine the immense pain you must all be feeling. You will be in my prayers tonight. xo

To the Gutknecht family,
Your son was one of my best friends. I can remember calling his cell in the middle of the night, texting him during class, and gaming with him until all hours of the morning.
I know that, no matter what religion/faith/spirituality you believe in, Eric is somewhere better. Somewhere he is waiting, somewhere that he is busy decorating, cooking, and all other necessary things he needs to do to prepare for the party we will all have together when we eventually meet up with him.
