I miss you a lot uncle, I wish that you could've been here to watch me and all your grandchildren, children ,nieces and nephews grow up. I still remember the day that you had promised to take me out on the jet ski but the weather was cold and rainy but you took me anyway and kept that promise even through the pouring down rain. I'll always think of you and love you so very much. You were always such an amazing person and always cared about us all I wish you were still here now. I can't wait til I see you again uncle Eric I love you. -Makennah Miller

Hi sweets. I´m still in love with you. Always and forever. You know that.

Eric,
We shared some great memories together. I will cherish those memories forever. You were such an amazing person. Even through personal struggles you treated others very kindly, you were understanding, and always saw the good in others. Your son Nick is a police officer now. What a great honor! You must be looking down so proud of him. Please continue to watch over and protect him. Until we meet again friend.

Tomorrow is Nick´s Birthday....... I know he misses you soooo much!!
This weekend is Father´s Day, I know it´s hard on the Boys that they don´t get to see you and celebrate a day with you for being their DAD!!!
Your grandkids miss you..... and your youngest granddaughter Kaia was never able to see you, which hurts me. I know how much you loved Kyle and Nick and your grandkids Kori and Kenzie and Kaden....

Wayne and Marilyn, So sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing Eric each weekend at the cabin. One thing that stands out to me is how he could always catch fish! I have tried many times, without luck, and then he will come out and catch something. I am not sure how he did it. I kept telling myself it was your dock vs. ours, but I think it was Eric.
I also remember watching him many times with his grandkids, nieces, and nephews fishing. Pulling up blue gill after blue gill. His excitement matched by the kids excitement.
We also attended the celebration of his life. It was great. Lots of laughs and tears, and lots of love!! I hope that love will comfort you through this difficult times.

There are no words to express our sense of sorrow and loss at the passing of our nephew Eric. He had a good heart, and a very giving soul. Our world will be a bit less bright without him in it, but heaven will definitely be brighter. We love you and miss you.

Growing up next door to the Millers I always remember Eric as being that happy, jovial, kind hearted, most friendly person. When I think of Eric I always smile because he always was in a good mood, and more than likely trying to be a goofball. I am extremely grateful to be so lucky to have grown up next to Eric. My heartfelt condolences to the Miller family who will always mean so much to me.
Rest in peace Maddog, you are truly missed.

Have definite good memories of growing up together from Elementary through High School. Somehow he got me to go on his grandpa's styrofoam boat on the Delta (with the current, I thought I'd never return). Riding with Eric in his baja bug was an experience to say the least. Although after high school we didn't see each other often, it's obvious by the comments that he was a great father/grandpa. May the God of all comfort grant His perfect peace to Eric's children, grandchildren, family and loves ones!

Dear Cousin Marilyn and Wayne,
Words cannot express how deeply sorry we are for your loss. John and I only met Eric one time (when Kyle and Nick were young), but
we remember him as fun loving and having a very gentle and caring side to him. I painted the boys' fingernails, (they begged to have me do it), and I remember Eric saying that had to come off. May he be at peace now. In time, we hope you will be able to think of Eric with not just grief and heartache, but with cherished memories that will help heal the emptiness in your hearts.

I had the pleasure of meeting Eric once at a baseball gathering in San Mateo recently. He attended with Wayne and both I believe truly enjoyed themselves. Eric loved talking baseball and that day presented the perfect opportunity. Wayne and I were teammates "back in the day". Eric's passing can only be described as sad and painful. The day we spent together (Wayne, Eric and I) was joyful. I choose to remember the smiles shared with father and son. May he rest in peace. Gary Hughes, Boston Red Sox

Dad,
You will be always loved, forever remembered, and never forgotten. The days come and go, the sun rises and sets, but the days will never be the same without you. I have a sense of emptiness inside, a hole in my heart, that will never be filled or replaced. That's your special spot dad, for Maddog. I wish you were by my side to hangout, work on a project together, be "Papa" for my kids that always looked up to you. We just moved back from Reno, so we could have fun with you, and fun in the sun out on the Delta, like you did with nick and I. Don't worry dad, I will always be strong for my family, and continue to be the son you always wanted. The last memory of you I had was the Sunday we came up to visit just after moving back from Reno, you told me, your happy were back, you gave me a big hug in tears, telling me how proud you are of me and the father I have become, told me you love me, and that nick and I are always your #1. You will never be forgotten dad, your spirit and memories will live on in my kids. I will share all the great times and memories with them, that you gave to Nick and I. I love you Dad, thank you for making me a Miller.

Eric we miss you so much. Your were a kind, giving, loving neighbor and friend. You were always there to help me out, when Dave was gone and I needed help. You had many talents, one of them being your green thumb in your vegetable garden. We loved all the delicious tomatoes and vegetables you supply us with. It is not the same without you!
You were an amazing son, you helped your parents so much over the years with all the improvements & repairs that are ongoing on the Island. We loved seeing how great of a Dad and Grandfather you were. You treated our grandchildren, to jet ski rides and taught them how to fish.
Loved you lots,

Dear Wayne & Marilyn,
We send our deepest sympathy to you now and in the time ahead for your lost love and will continue to pray for you and your family to heal with the wonderful memories of your love for Eric.
No greater love is known by man than that he holds for his children, for each child is born out of love between a man and a woman to become the focal being of their hopes, dreams and expectations.
He will be remembered as a young man with a passion for baseball, water skiing and being a good father to his two sons, Kyle and Nick. I will also remember him for making my Mom feel special at Christmastime and making her laugh. He and his warm smile will be sorely missed.

I have fond memories of Eric as a toddler and child enjoying the Delta with his cousins and family. I especially remember him cleaning Cat Fish with Lisa and how proud he was to bring in the tray of cleaned fish to Grandma Kay for cooking. He laughed and played and with all the kids and enjoyed the time together. As a young man, I remember is wonderful hospitality of sharing his boat and love of the Delta with Randy and I. His warmth and sharing will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with all.

We lost a great guy with a heart of gold way, way too soon. My heart aches as I see my husband, kids and in-laws grieve so deeply. I will always remember Eric for his crazy, funny personality. But, as we all got older, I loved seeing Eric as my kids' Uncle. They just loved "Uncle". Eric always took the time to fish, ride the jetski, show them his workshop and pick tomatoes with my kids. They laugh as they remember Uncle making glasses out of tulles at the beach. RIP Maddog. May paradise be filled with 80 degree days and hotlaps on your jetski! I know you are at peace and smiling down on your family who you loved so much.

Eric, so many memories.... Still don't believe it. I am glad i got to speak with you on New Year's Eve, it had been too long. I am glad i got to tell you that i loved you. It must have been fate, because i ran into Rose in San Diego, of all places, staying at the same hotel! Then we were invited up to hang out in their room, and when i was standing next to Rose, i saw you calling on her phone! It was great timing. You also decided to be in my dream the other night, you were helping me find my way out of a casino! You will not be forgotten. Till we meet again, save me a spot.

We knew Eric from a young age. He was a true river lover. From camping on the island (at a yooung age) to fishing, skiing, swimming and all around being part of the river that makes Bethel Island a wonderful place to be. He was a wonderful person and we will miss his happy go lucky attitude. Thank you Eric for letting us be part of your life.
