Eric Brian Parsons

Eric Brian Parsons, 33, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, May 8, 2022, at his residence in Baton Rouge. Visitation will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly, on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 11am until Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm, celebrated by Father Matt Lorrain. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery. Eric is survived by his parents, Brian and Peggy Mistric Parsons; a brother, Luke Fontenot and his wife Andrea; a nephew, Augustin "Augie" Fontenot, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray and Elsie Thibodeaux Parsons; maternal grandparents, Leon Sr. and Ruth Carriere Mistric; maternal uncle and aunt, Leon Jr. and Frances Mistric, cousin, Marshall Vince, and godmother, Fay Hebert. Pallbearers will be his godfather Michael Vince, Matthew Vince, Jason Titone, Kevin Mayer, Kenny Mistric, and Troy Robichaux. Eric was a very kind young man who always saw the best qualities in other people that he met. He was compassionate and was never mean or hateful to others. Amid the struggles of his life, he worked hard to stay positive and remained a genuinely good person. Eric possessed a natural artistic ability that propelled him to complete a college degree in graphic design. Eric faced a number of challenges in his life, yet after each time he was knocked down, he got back on his feet to start over.
