Eric Richard

Lynn - Eric Richard, 48, originally from Fitchburg, MA, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024, after an illness.

Eric was born on March 7, 1976, in Fitchburg where he was raised and graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical High School. He lived most of his adult life in Lynn, MA and worked in the culinary industry at various locations throughout Massachusetts for almost 30 years.

Eric grew up surrounded by friends and family. He played soccer, basketball, and baseball year after year. He spent his summers on the beach at Hampton and Salisbury. From a young age Eric loved to bake and cook with his mother in the kitchen, and used food as a way to show love for people around him. Eric started a Facebook group named North Shore Cooks in 2018 and moderated a positive and encouraging community for aspiring home cooks to join and share their creations; it is highly active to this day with over 8,000 members. He was always quick with a joke to lighten the mood and everyone who ever met him remembers his contagious laugh.

Eric is survived by his mother, Gail Richard of Lynn, MA, his father, Gregory Richard of Billerica, MA, his sister, Kim Richard of Marshfield, MA, brother, Keith (Jen) Richard of Danvers, MA, niece Corinne, nephews Wesley and Bodhi, and many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved dog, Ollie, and nephew, Alexander.
