I was visiting a friend in Franklin and was told about Dr Eric so I went to see him. Oh wow. He took up so much time with me and helped me so much. I drove up again from South Georgia to see him. Prayers to all family and friends and especially all the patients like me he blessed. May we all live each day to the fullest

Eric was a friend and more importantly a brother in Christ. He loved his brethren but mostly he loved His Lord Jesus Christ. He is in heaven now, rejoicing as he sees his Savior face to face! I will see you there, my brother. It won't be long now....

2 Corinthians 5:1
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

"Another Day My Friend'... That was our last words on a busy day that I could not wait for "My Turn". I will miss you my friend. Gen-X communicate differently. Conversations were always fun uplifting therapeutic as well as the chiropractic therapy. You will be missed. Praise God I will see you again. Until that glorious day my friend. God Bless all the Family and Friends too numerous to count.

I'm gonna miss you friend. You were more than just a chiropractor you were a friend. I am gonna miss telling you the next episode in my life and you giving me advice. I'm gonna miss your encouragement and kind words. I'm gonna miss you showing up at the office and helping you get everything set up to be your first patient of the day. I'm gonna miss the laughter we had. You loved your family with all your heart and you always tried to do your best everyday. You were a light in so many peoples lives. I am trying to hold on to peace of knowing you are in Heaven and I will see you again. I bet you're up there asking a million questions trying to figure everything out lol . I will be praying for your family for their peace in this time and in the future. They were your world. See you later buddy.

My deepest condolences. I went to see Eric this morning and saw the note on the door. To say that I was taken aback is an understatement. Eric was not only a good Doctor but he was becoming a good friend. Our relationship was developing beyond the medical. We were becoming friends. We had a dinner planned for the end of the month. I will miss him! Anyone who got to know him will miss him as well.
I last saw him last Tuesday. Considering his death, the conversation we had was prescient. He said to me one of the largest regrets he had was not having a closer relationship with his children, Brennan, Kylie, and Adam. We discussed different ways in which he could do that. Most of our time was spent discussing this. He wanted it so badly. He wanted to make sure he would not make the same mistakes and wanted a better relationship with Peyton.
He also shared how much Beth meant to him. He joked, "I think I got it right this time."

I met him and Beth at Swain county sheriff's office. They would set up in our confer6room and do adjustments for those of us who were not able to get to him otherwise. He was always so kind and gentle. He will be greatly missed

He was a real help in our church. Always had a smile, never heard him say a negative thing, loved his family, and loved the Lord. So glad to know he will be seen again in heaven!

I did not know Eric as well as I know his brother, Jonathan who is my best friend. The pictures of Eric and his family here are so beautiful, and make me so sad that he is gone. Wishing peace and grace in the lives of his children and wife at this time. This was so shocking and tragic that even though I did not know Eric well, his passing made the earth stand still for a moment, and I definitely felt it. As with any human being, Eric had his struggles, but he passed away having conquered them. Godspeed to the Shapiro family.

Eric was my first friend. My earliest childhood memories are full of my cousin Eric. Riding our bikes in the parking lot, we became Ponch and John. We spent summers together in Roanoke "working" at Sam“s and eating hotdogs at The Boiler Room. Once we even saw the real life General Lee. A highlight of both of our childhoods. He loves coming to our apartment because we had chocolate milk. Eric moved to Roanoke for a while. When he came back to the area, we reconnected as high school friends. I will never forget Eric sending me a birthday card, when we were both in middle school and he stuck a five dollar bill in the envelope. Although we lost contact as adults, I never forgot how special our childhoods were because we had each other. RIP Cousin Eric

Eric didn't seem to meet a stranger, and he did not shy away from talking about his faith. I have no doubts he is no longer struggling nor suffering, and I hope to see him again someday. My best wishes for his family to hold the same hope.

I worked the front desk of Four Season Hospice when I met Eric. I remember hearing about how he would come, every pay day and offer chiropractic care to those who wanted adjusting. I was adjusted by Eric quite a few times before I switched positions and no longer saw him. Eric was such a friendly and kind hearted man. He was always so outgoing. That man would talk to anyone who would listen. I always enjoyed his stories. I will never forget him. My prayers and condolences are with him and his family, always.

I am so very sad to hear this news. My husband and I enjoyed getting to know Eric when he would come to Four Seasons to provide affordable, accessible chiropractic care for our staff. He was a very kind, generous and likable man. Holding space for Eric's family and friends

Eric was more than just a Chiropractor he was a true friend and business partner. Eric restored my faith in Chiropractors after having a traumatic experience with one. Eric was a counselor and prayer warrior, he was a light to many and will greatly missed.
