Eric Stahl Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 19, 2025.
Eric Karl Stahl was born on June 10, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, and was received into his eternal home on Sept. 18, 2025, in Boynton Beach, FL after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Eric was the son of the late Caroline and Everett Stahl. Eric is survived by his sister Judy Dannunzio, his son Kiya Stahl, his wife of 22 years Sue Stahl, and step-children Joseph Lamb, Naomi Houston, Erin Tufts and Joshua Lamb.

Eric spent his early years in the Philadelphia area and graduated in 1968 from Drexel University with a degree in Commerce and Engineering. Eric enjoyed learning new things, and his work included a career in sales and distribution within the paper/print industry and a variety of other endeavors. He also spoke fondly of the season he partnered with a childhood friend in a land development project.

Eric lived his life with zeal and enjoyed an active lifestyle of wind surfing, cycling, and motorcycles. He also took up sailing, and a sailboat became his home for 3 years as he and a good friend traveled the seas together. He then settled his land legs in Miami and migrated to other areas of Broward and Palm Beach County. Eric spent his latter years in the Delray Beach and Boynton Beach area where he and his wife Sue would build their life together.

Eric was a kind man and a good friend to many. He loved staying in touch with both his longtime and new friends. He always saw the best in people, and he loved interacting and sharing life stories with others.

Amidst his love of life, Eric later came to know a greater purpose as he discovered and grew to know the love of Jesus Christ. He wanted to tell others about the good news of Jesus and prayed earnestly for his friends. For many years, he found his joy in serving within the prison system in South Florida as he helped bring this hope to the incarcerated. He also enjoyed being an active part of the Church family and served in many roles from teaching children to hosting gatherings in his home with his wife.

Please join us for Eric's Celebration of Life service on Saturday, September 27th at 1pm at Proclaim Church.

Our deepest sympathy to Sue and the whole family. Jim and I did not live near Eric and Sue to really know him well, but he was a great step-father and step grandfather to our family and a loving husband to Sue. RIP Eric.

I truly know my brother in Christ is now with the Lord in eternal life in paradise! I met Eric at Calvary chapel church in Ft. Lauderdale 1995 and we remained in touch over the years since then. My son was in a class Eric taught back then and that is how we met. Eric was a good mentor to my son and myself and we spent time hanging out together and doing activities like canoeing and fishing. A great friend who loved the Lord and is now with Jesus! He will be missed With lots of love! From Darren and Karelyn Stahl- interesting that we happen to share the same last name.

We had great conversations over the years. I enjoyed talking with you about diesel engines and other automotive topics.
