Melvie and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of need. I helped take care of Eric while he was in hospital and worked with melvie many years at the highlands. Melvie he had your spunk for life. I always enjoyed sitting and talking with Eric He thought and loved his family dearly. I know this is a difficult time but find peace that he is no longer suffering and in pain he is at peace. If there is anything i can do please let us know

Melvie, Justin, Pam, Stacey, Brian, Mark, Karen...Words cannot express the loss of Eric. I remember the times on the homestead and the laughter that went along with eveything from going to walks to the circus in Broome County (especially Melvie dropping an empty cotton candy cone on one of the clowns). Remember the laughter, fun, and family times. I know the Stoothoff families can tell stories for years. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts & prayers are with you.May God Bless & grant you strength & peace & a strong faith!! One "glorious day" we shall all meet on that "Golden Shore"! What a "Reunion" that will be!!
Eric & Gordon are in Heaven together now. Friendship is God's forever gift!! We don't understand why they had to be taken from us at such a young age but God is in control.Matt.10:30 tells us that every hair on our head is numbered. There is a time to live & a time to die & that timing is up to the Lord above. We just have to live every day as if it will be our last because God is in control! Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery & today is a treasure, enjoy every day to it's fullest & keep God up front!!We don't understand the adversities in life but God keeps us strong to roll with the punches & stay strong as it will be worth it all one day, in God's timing, when we see His glorious face & the adversities will be worth it all!!
We families are lucky to have Eric & Gordon's offspring to carry on & keep us strong.
What a "Reunion" it must have been when Eric & Gordon met face to face in Heaven!! Best friends here & best friends in Heaven & now looking down on us as God's angels & to keep us strong!!
God Bless & Cherish & Comfort!!
