Dear Kayla, Lon and Kris, We are so saddened to hear of the death of Eric and of the grief you are now sharing. We will keep you and your families in our thoughts and prayers until you meet again.

Sending you and your girls prayers and love. My heart breaks for you I hope you are able to find the care and support you need in this time.

Since words can not express the level of sympathy we want to express for this tragic loss please know that God's grace and mercy will see you through this difficult time.

I am still trying to process this loss and will be for a long time. Eric and I were on the same Credit team when I moved back to Grand Rapids for GFS and we sat next to each other for a couple years. I would occasionally go out for lunch with Eric and we always talked about our careers and the different things going on in our personal lives. Eric was incredibly smart and I learned a lot from him while working together.

I'm going to continue praying for your family's strength through the coming years.

Lon and Kris, words are not sufficient. Just know you are dear friends and we offer our deepest sympathy.

I was saddened to learn of Eric's passing. He was such a kind soul and so fun to work with and had a great sense of humor. I'll miss hearing his credit calls over the wall. He had such a way with his customers and sales team, that you could always learn so much just by listening to him on the phone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May his family find peace and comfort during these difficult times. You are all in my thoughtsand prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Eric. My family has many wonderful memories of him when they were together at Fremont Christian School.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had the best smile.

Eric was my supervisor at Gordon and he was not only my boss but also my friend. Eric will be missed by all at Gordon and he was an inspiration to all he came in contact with. May his family find peace at this difficult time and know that Eric meant so much to so many.

I was so sad to hear about the death of Eric. Eric was a part of our team at the bank in Byron Center. This was before he had his own family. The one thing that came to mind to me today was how fond Eric was of his parents. He spoke lovingly and with pride of his mom being an art teacher and looked forward to helping his dad at the shoe store.

Too soon God hold this man forever

Lon and chris we are so sorry to hear of Eric’s passing. May the love and prayers from friends and family sustain you through this loss until you see him again.

Eric had just the biggest smile and warmth to all that knew him. No matter if it was at GFS, playing against him in beach volleyball, or talking about his family, he was just an amazing guy. May God comfort his wife, kids, and family during this difficult time. Many prayers.
