Hi .. I met Norman Westerberg in 1975 when he kindly gave me my first job in Finland for Ekono Oy as a legal internship for 4 months to develop a standard international consulting agreement for Ekono's international activities . I met him then a few times between 1975 - 1986 in Seattle and Helsinki. He was a really sympathetic and helpful to me as I came to Finland to learn Finnish and see my forefathers homeland . I had to learn Swedish as well as then Finnish which I managed to do while working at Ekono in Otaniemi . I remember well when he told me of his time as a bellboy at the famous Kämp Hotel in Helsinki during the war with Russia. When he remembered seeing Mannerheim as well as history being made. I hold your father in very high esteem. My condolences to the Westerberg family . Christopher Välttilä .

Both Norm and Benita were "war children" sent from Finland to Sweden during the war. They were my hosts when visiting Seattle in 2010, and I am most grateful to both of them.We miss him. Kai Rosnell, Knivsta, Sweden

Dan, Please accept my condolences. I still have T shirt your dad gave me when I was working at Seattle First as a teller. I only met him a few times but he was such a gentleman. Ramin

Norman was a wonderful consular colleague. Always cordial and concerned with everybody else's welfare. And all this with a great sense of humor! His legacy will remain among the many people he helped.

We just learned last evening of the passing of a good friend, Norman Westerberg. I thank God for the privilege of having known him and calling him friend for many years. He was truly an inspiration to me. Our prayers for comfort and healing go out to Benita and the rest of his family.
