Ericka LaVonne
Ericka LaVonne Davis of Toledo, Ohio died unexpectedly at UTMC on June 21, 2016. She was 44 years old.
Ericka is survived by her daughter, Dorian M. J. Miller; parents, Harry Jr. and Audrey Davis; brother, Brian Davis; special cousin, Chanelle Harris; significant other, Michael Johnson; god-daughters, Takeia Triplett and Ny'Onna Harris, all of Toledo, Ohio; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She has an abundance of true friends who she loved and cherished and they love and cherish her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harry Sr. and Myrtle Davis and maternal grandparents, Delores Hinton and Simmie Harris Sr., all of Toledo, Ohio; aunt, Melva Harris; uncles, Bruce Harris and Simmie Harris Jr. of Denton, Texas.
Ericka was born on June 13, 1972 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a proud graduate of Macomber Vocational Technical High School and went on to graduate from Owens Tech with an associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Repair. She was most passionate about working with her clients with developmental disabilities.
A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 30, 2016, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The House of Day, 2550 Nebraska Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43607. A funeral is scheduled Friday, July 1, 2016, gathering at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 5301 Nebraska Ave., Toledo, Ohio. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery 1502 W. Central Ave., Toledo, Ohio.

Ericka will truly be miss. It not a day that go by that I don'the think about her. So may the God of all comfort give all of you a hope and strength to get through this. She had such a beautiful personality. And she brought laughter to family gatherings. My prayers are with you all daily. Love you all

I've prayed since hearing the news that this was a dream, but that didn't keep me from praying and sending my condolences to Dorian, Brian,your parents,family and friends. I know your smiling down, and making God laugh, and I can't say good bye but I can say I'll see you when I get there.
