Erin Rosiello Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2025.
An impassioned woman of the 21st century, Erin Rosiello was a well-known and successful woman in both the business and civic world. Never one to be defined by just one career or accomplishment, she gained notoriety as a star track and cross-country athlete at Muskingum and Miami University, a professional in sales and marketing for media giants like Cox Television and iHeart Radio, and as the governor-appointed Regional State Manager for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.

Erin always fully dedicated herself to her endeavors; after being diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in 2017, she still found an outlet for her work ethic by volunteering in issues-based public advocacy. In the seven extra years she survived thanks to targeted gene therapy, she tirelessly advocated for passenger rail, lung cancer research, and single-payer healthcare. While her family, her friends, and her health were her top priorities, she still found time to mentor others, foster community, and maintain her running habit. She lived intentionally, never taking a single day for granted.

Erin was preceded in advocacy and in death by her parents, Freedom Riders David Myers and Winonah Beamer. She is survived by her sisters, Robin Riddle and Jessica Gitzinger, her daughter, Nicole Rosiello, her partner, Pat Rosiello, and her cats, Missy and Brick.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio at the Lower Shelter. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to AAO (All Aboard Ohio) or SPAN (Single Payer Action Network) to help Erin continue fighting for the causes closest to her heart.

Erin was a year older than me. I never had brothers or sisters. And Erin was like my big sister. I looked up to her and always tried to do everything she did. She would always encourage me to do things that I never thought I could do. She will always be inspirational to me. I will always miss her. This is a picture of the four of us cousins hanging out on my aunt`s farm. From left to right
You have Robin, Erin, Anna, and myself, Anita. Jessie had not been born yet.
Lots of fond memories on my aunt`s farm with all of us cousins
She will always be held closely in my heart.
