I just heard about your wifes passing away and i want to send my condolences. I had your wife for an english teacher at Northern Cambria back in 1985-1986 school year. I also knew her before this because my grandmother Edna Vermeulin use to live done the road from you next to Fred and Delores Wood. I use to see her at St. Peter and Paul Greek Orthadox Church at holidays in Bakerton also. It was an enjoyable experience having your wife as a teacher. Once again I am sorry to hear about your wifes lose.

Dear Erma & Mr. Konitsky-
I'm thankful that we could visit with you, but know that I think of you as you lay your mother to rest today. I'm sorry that we cannot be there. Your mother was a beautiful person. Your parents always made us feel welcome at your home. I will always remember Dr. Erma's kindness, her smiling eyes, the silliness of birthday parties at your house, and the fun times at Penn State. She touched all of our lives. I am grateful to have known her and share in your family's friendship.
Your sister always, Danielle

Dear Doc Konitsky family,
I just heard of the passing of Doc, I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers. Duane (Boody) and I both had the privelege of sitting in Doc Konitsky's classroom, as did our son Duane. He is away at college, however, phoned me whenever a former classmate text him to let him know of Doc's passing. May the Lord, whom understands all of our pain, comfort you in this time of mourning.
God Bless you all.

Dear Erma and Mr. Koninsky,
So sad to learn of Erma's passing. She was dedicated in all that she did over the years of her life. My daughter kept me updated to the end of what was happening not only with Erma but, Erma's family, too. Her legacy in the Northern Cambria area will looked upon for many years by the people she touched in life.

Dear Erma and family, I just learned of your mother passing and wanted to extend my sympathy. I have many fond memories in her classes in high school. I was very sad to hear of her illness but I have to admit, a smile always came to me when I heard her name or talked about memories of school. She made learning English Literature a joy and I remember all the forensics trips to IUP we all made together. I think she got the most happiness knowing that what she taught her students really stuck with them. She will be sadly missed!

When in High School, Erma and I were elected "Class Wits". She certainly was a wit and a very classy lady.

Dr.Knonistsky taught me English when I was in high school and I'm out of school 40 years. She also taught my three children and they are all out of high school. She was a fantastic and brilliant teacher.
You were fortunate if you had her as a teacher. She will be sadly missed by so many students and friends. May she rest in peace.
