Ernest "Red" C. Anastasio, 77, of Hanover, passed away on Sept. 2, 2015. Born in Boston on April 11, 1938, he was the son of the late Felice and Ethel (Key) Anastasio. Red was employed by Sheet Metal Workers Local 17 for over 50 years. He enjoyed model railroads and fishing. Red was the devoted husband of Maryann (Kardoos) Anastasio. Loving father of Ernest P. Anastasio and his wife Amy of Hull, Thomas J. Anastasio of Hanover, and Joseph A. Anastasio and his wife Lauren of Rockland. Dear brother of Dorothy Flores of South Boston and the late Phil and Tony Anastasio, and Julia Mazzeo. Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Illyana, and Gage. Red is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St. Rte. 53, Hanover, on Sunday, Sept. 6, from 2 - 5 p.m. All other services will be private. Rest in peace Godfather, you will be missed. We had some wonderful family times when I was young at Aunt Agnes'cottage and the beaches in Southie.God Bless and I know you're fishing in Heaven with my Dad Tony and Uncle Phil.

I am sorry to hear that Ernie passed to his family my deepest sympathy from all of the Brothers of local 17.
I had worked with Ernie for a number of years,To Joe I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad, I know that over time you will heal, remember a the good things and the rest will disappear.
