RINKLE, Ernest
CMSGT USAF (Ret.)
Born July 10, 1929 and entered into rest on February 5, 2007. Served his country for 29 years, ending his great career in the 438th Military Airlift Wing. He was a WWII Veteran and a Vietnam Vet. He retired from the US Post Office in Del Paso Heights after 20 years. His top priority was education. He is preceded in death by his true love Lorraine Audrey Rinkle. Survived by his 6 children Mitzi (Richard), Ernest III, Steve (Barbara), Kimberly, Danny, Bobby (Denise); 10 granchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Lots of friends. A true family man, always giving. Dad, we love you. America, we have lost a true American hero. Services will be held Tuesday, February 13, at 1:30pm, at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA 95620. Reception for family and friends to follow at 4pm at 5304 Ronnie St, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Ernest requested that remembrances be donated to any of the Diabetes foundations. He hoped for a cure one day.

Dear friends, I am looking for Ernest W Rinkle, who attended high school in the 60s at Torrejon High School at Torrejon Air Force Base in Madrid Spain.
He was a good friend of my brother and I would like to locate Ernie.

Hello all. I would just like to say that I had the pleasure of having a great visit with Mr. Rinkle the last time I was in town. We spent over 2 hours talking about various subject and family. I have a great respect for Mr Rinkle and I know he will be missed by all. To Ernie, Steve, Kim, Danny and Bobby. I know you will miss your father as I will too. I hope the best for all of you in this time of sorrow. I wish I could be there for you. Especially for Kim who was there for me when my mom passed. Take care all. I hope to see you in the not so far off future. With great respect.
