One of my dear friends has moved on to a better place. Ernie was one of a kind and always had a smile on his face. He would make a room glow when he entered. He would make it impossible not to smile while in his presence. I will miss him like a member of my family. Rest in Piece my friend.

It was a special blessing for us to know Ernie and Judy. We have been blessed to know and work with Frances at Salem Baptist. Ernie always had the brightest smile. God used Ernie and Judy in witnessing their Christian walk. Ernie will be greatly missed but he is enjoying time with his Lord and Savior. Ernie fought the good fight and he finished the course. God bless the Rorrer family and give you peace as only he can give. In His love and ours, Bill and Lillie Dunn

Mr. Rorrer, you gave me one of my most favorite teenage memories...playing "If you love me honey, smile" at one of our KBC Valentine banquets. I sat on your lap, rubbed your balled head, and acted like it was a crystal ball. You IMMEDIATELY started laughing, which was a tough feat during that game with you! Thank you for loving us as we grew up, bringing laughter to our world, and teaching us about the love of Jesus.
Mrs. Judy, Lee, Ernie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers and we rejoice with you, knowing that Mr. Rorrer is sitting at the feet of Jesus making Him laugh, too! Love you all! Dori

The Rorrer Family,
I am very thankful to have such wonderful memories of Mr. Rorrer, as I have always called him. You were both wonderful youth leaders that helped make me who I am today. I have fun memories of Mr. Rorrer through my immaturity :) such as trips, painted fingernails, the Pillsbury dough boy- including the giggle of course, "fat baby" for our youth choir Amy Grant song, and many times of him listening to my complaints and questions. He would even come visit me a few times when I worked at Dunkin Donuts one summer. Thanks to you both for your example of love you shared with me as a youth. Love you. Julie (Humphreys)

As a young rookie officer, I was blessed to have started my career under the guidance of then Sgt. Rorrer. He had a firm but compassionate persona and a non stop smile, born of his obvious love for people, that any and all of us did well to emulate. As he progressed in rank and responsibility, those virtues never faded, they only positively affected more people. This world needs more Ernie Rorrers.
