ERNIE PRUSAK Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ernie on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the age of 80. Although he suffered from diabetes and kidney disease, he worked up until the time of his death. Ernie was raised in the Colfax district and started his first job with the railway where he was the youngest conductor on the CNR at that time. Due to health reasons, he changed his profession to photography for a short time. With the exception of his wife, Ernie's next career was the love of his life. Being the excellent salesperson he was, Ernie decided to stay in the auction business. He worked for a few companies, the last being Hodgins Auction where he was employed for 15 years. Ernie traveled the three Prairie Provinces and loved every minute of it. He knew where every small town was and most of their history. Ernie loved people and especially enjoyed a good visit. Predeceased by his parents Pauline and Leon and a brother Izzy; Ernie is survived by his loving wife Gladys; brothers Eugene and Dennis; and sister Emily and their families. He is also survived by his special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerry and Dorothy Andrews along with their family; special nieces Susan and Marian; and his very special diabetic nurse Lorna. Honouring Ernie's request, there will be no funeral service at this time. A private service will be held in the spring. Sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I enjoyed working with Ernie at Hodgins, Great Plains and Global. He was an enjoyable man to be around. He will be missed.

Aunt Gladys, Dave & I have had so much fun with you and Uncle Ernie! We will always remember all the laughs we had with you guys in Regina and @ Joan & Ken Fletcher's home when she was so kind to invite us all for the evening! It was priceless. We are really glad you both made it to WPG. to celebrate Dennis & Arlene's 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was a great time for all and I'm glad you finally were able to meet the rest of the CRAZY Prusak Gang. We all loved Ernie and equally you as well! You are a gem. Take acre and pleas remember all the good times we had with Uncle Ernie. He was truly one on a kind and we are going to miss him dearly. To the Prusak Family I was sadden to hear of Ernies passing.I knew him for a short time when working for Hodgins Auctioneers. His stories of his travels and and the love for the auction industry.He gave much encouragement for success in sales. He will be remembered as great person and will be greatly missed.

We're so sorry to hear about the loss of Uncle Ernie.
I have many special memories of Uncle Ernie as a kid growing up. Visits to Grandpa and Grandma's wouldn't be the same without Uncle Ernie being there. He teased us - we teased him, and we all loved it. I recall us kids all wanting to ride with Uncle Ernie in his little Volkswagen - he always had such cool vehicles! Ernie was lots of fun, knowledgeable and had a knack for "telling it like it is." He was a very special person and we will miss him.

We will miss the regular visits from Ernie at our office. There was always a few stories and lots of smiles and laughter. Who did he not know? Am amazing memory from all his travels. And that Lincoln - clean as the day he bought it. Our thoughts are with Ernie's family. The Morsky Crew.

Sorry to hear of Ernie's passing, take comfort in knowing he is with friends that have passed before him. I remember when he would come to visit dad and my son thought he had the neatest car with a security system that would talk.
