Ester V. Baligod

CHICOPEE Ester V. (Kagurangan) Baligod, age 83, of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014. She was born in Isabela, Philippines, daughter of the late Constantino and Paz (Ventura) Kagurangan and was educated there. Ester had lived here for more than twenty-one years, and attended the Adult Day Care Program at the Geriatric Authority of Holyoke. She was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Parish in Willimansett. She was the widow of Elias Baligod. Ester is survived by a son, Roland Baligod of the Philippines, two daughters: Mila Lagat of Hawaii and Evelyn Irzyk of Chicopee, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by three children: Edgar, Felimon and Hector. Calling hours will be held Friday March 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial for Ester to be held on Wednesday morning, March 26th at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 56 Saint Anthony St. Chicopee.
