William "Bill" Zickler

Bill Zickler passed away peacefully April 11, at the home of his cousin "Lenny". Bill had been suffering with the loss of his wife, Ada, whom he loved dearly. He is now at peace and in the arms of his Lord and Savior.
Bill was born in Spokane, Washington, December 8, 1936 to Virgil and Ellen (Swanson) Zickler. Bill loved life and family and loved to attend family gatherings and reunions. Bill was always the official photographer at family events and took many photos and videos over the last fifty years. Bill graduated from North Central High School in 1955. Deaf from birth, Bill successfully graduated from Kinman Business University and went to work as an accounting clerk for the Old National Bank (US Bank) where he retired after over 40 years of service. Bill loved his friends in the deaf community. He was an avid and accomplished bowler and played on several deaf bowling teams, once rolling a 299 in competition. Bill loved to travel and recently made the "road trip" of his life to Dallas, Texas, to help one of his many cousins.
Bill is survived by his cousins, Leonard and Dawn Zickler and Lana and Steve Prochnow of Spokane, Henry Swanson of Toronto, CA and Sharon (Swanson) Gillaspie in Medina, WA, as well as numerous other cousins across the globe.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20 at 2:00 PM, at City Life Church, 1007 E. Trent (next to Northern Lights Grill).
