Levanda M. Jenkins

Levada M. Jenkins, 85, formerly of Verona, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Fairwinds Manor, Sarver. She was born March 6, 1927, in McDonald, to the late Lawrence and Thelma Tate Keener. Levada was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church, New Kensington. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth F. Jenkins Sr.; dear mother of Kenneth (Barbara) Jenkins Jr., of Butler, Sharon (Aaron R.) Wagner, of Romulus, Mich., Patience Atkins, of Lower Burrell, Agnes "A.J." Jenkins, of Ford City, James Jenkins, of Monroeville, and Joseph Jenkins, of Lower Burrell; sister of the late Naomi Shoop, Margaret Land, Aaron Keener, John Keener and William Keener; sister-in-law of Kathy Keener, of Natrona Heights; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION and ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont. Services at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. William Laird. Private interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, next to her husband, Kenneth.
