Ethel Iddings

Ethel C. Iddings (nee Wolf) Griffith Ethel C. Iddings (nee Wolf), age 89, of Griffith, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2005. She is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Lou Slaney; six step-children: Ruth (Dr. Daniel) Motyka, M.D. of Crown Point, Floyd K. (Arlene) Iddings, Jr. of Hobart, Verna (Nick) Abbott of Wheatfield, Raymond "David" (Wendy) Iddings of Indianapolis, William J. Iddings of Indiana and Rhonda (Richard) Lathom of Ohio; four grandchildren: Carolyn (Mark) Galik of Mokena, IL, Steven (Linda) Hoshaw of Valparaiso, Brenda Koselke of Griffith and Bonnie (Mark) Marek of Crown Point; seven great-grandchildren; 22 step-grandchildren; 41 step-great-grandchildren; and six step-great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James A. (Shirley) Wolf; and one step-sister, Rosemary Kleinschmidt; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Walter and Marie Wolf; husband, Floyd K. Iddings, Sr.; and son, Richard R. Hoshaw. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Mary's Church, Griffith with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Burial at Catholic Cemeteries, Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family Monday from 3-8 p.m. at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, (2 blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland. Prayer service at 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Iddings was the town clerk-Twp. of Bell, Cornucopia, WS and an avid fisherman and camper.
