To Joanie and family. Gene was an inspiration to my parents and a mentor to my father, Bob Bye. He was always held up as a model I should follow. My mom wanted me to be a lawyer because Gene was a judge. Our family will miss him, but he lives on in spirit through his fine example of how to be a man.

To Joan and Family,
A friend from Minnetonka called me this morning in New Mexico (where I am for the winter) to say that Gene had passed over.
What a great man he was for the community he lived in! I'm sure he inspired many others.
I was very glad you and Gene stopped in to Bear Paw for a visit.
May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

To Joan Foote and Family,
My memories of you and Gene go back many many years to Job's Daughters. Your whole family was active and dedicated to Job's Daughters principals.
My prayers and synpathy are with you at this difficult and sad time. I know Sally Kjorsvig, Past Grand Guardian, joins me in sending our regrets.
