Eugene Leon Alvarez Obituary
Survived by husband, Gregory Miller; both parents; three brothers, Tonny Alvarez, Anthon Alvarez, and Jhosue; Mother-in-law, Cindy Miller and brothers-in-law, Andy Miller (Amanda) and Jeff Miller (Ann Marie). Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom he considered family.
Eugene was an accomplished Architectural Lighting Designer highly respected in his trade. He traveled the world with wonder and awe at every stop. He loved dancing and partied with the best of them. He loved animals, most notably his companion, Dax. His warmth and love is renowned by all fortunate enough to have met him.
For a light as beautiful and as bright as our Eugene was, we need not be sad, but to remember and celebrate the effect and influence he was to us all. His light will continue to shine down on us even brighter from above.

Le sobrevive su esposo, Gregory Miller; ambos padres; tres hermanos, Tonny Alvarez, Anthon Alvarez y Jhosue; Suegra, Cindy Miller y cuñados, Andy Miller (Amanda) y Jeff Miller (Ann Marie). También le sobreviven muchas tías, tíos, primos y amigos a quienes consideraba familia.
Eugene fue un gran diseñador de iluminación arquitectónica muy respetado en su oficio. Viajó por el mundo con asombro en cada parada. Le encantaba bailar y festejar. Amaba a los animales, sobre todo a su compañero, Dax. Su calidez y amor son reconocidos por todos los afortunados que lo han conocido.
Para una luz tan hermosa y tan brillante como lo fue nuestro Eugene, no necesitamos estar tristes, sino recordar y celebrar el efecto y la influencia que tuvo para todos nosotros. Su luz continuará brillando sobre nosotros, aún más brillante desde arriba.

Babe,
It has been more than two years and I still think about you every single day. Dax and I have been managing, but your absence has left life a lot darker... you were always the light both with work and at home. Dax has cancer, so I'm going to be sending him to you very soon. I know you will take very good care of him and keep him company. I hope I can come soon too; I don't want to be here any more. Keep visiting me and tipping over the clean laundry. LOL. I miss you and I love you, Chiquito Bebe.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Eugene was the very first person to introduce themselves to me when I first joined Visual Comfort about 8 months ago. He called me over video and we ended up talking for about an hour getting to know each other and immediately became close friends afterwards. Although I've only known him for 8 months, he made such a positive impact in my life and I'm so sad that he left us so soon and at such an early age. I will always remember Eugene as the fun quirky smart and talented designer that always had time for my jokes and lighting questions. Sending my love to the family <3

There are people who take life by the reins and navigate their path. This was Eugene, whatever he did, he did, with a genuine passion and purpose. He would light up any room with his presence, warmth and love. We will all miss him greatly, a piece of our hearts has been ripped away.

This has been so unexpected that we are still in shock. We want to send our support and love to family and friends in this moment of sadness and pain.
