Eugene Lewis Obituary
COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Eugene Lewis, 54, of Columbia, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1609 Zion Ave., Columbia, SC 29201 with interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Columbia. Mr. Lewis will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Lewis was born February 9, 1962 in Columbia, SC and passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016. He was a son of James Lewis, Jr. and Ruther Mae Davis Lewis. Eugene worked at Elmwood Cemetery and enjoyed fishing and loved being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lewis; sons, Desmond Lewis; daughter, Carlita Scott; son, Benjamin Scott, all of Columbia; brother, Joey Lewis, Sr. (Marie); sisters, Liz Davis Nevius (Glen), Edith Johnson (Phillip); brother, Bobby Dean Lewis (Tracey) and sister, Faye Gunter (Larry).
Elmwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service are assisting the family with arrangements.
