I wish I had the chance to meet Gene. I am the third generation of Eugene E Resler, born at home in Odon, Indiana in 1946. I am always trying to find my relatives whom many live in Indiana. I live in CA and send all my best wishes to the family.

Resler Family,
I had the pleasure of working with Gene on many occasions. He and I would go 'one on one' with the jokes and I rarely won!
Rest in Peace my friend.

Geno I'll miss you. You held my hand and showed me how to do auto body repair and all of the water fights with the water extinguishers. Rest in peace.

Gene was always nice to me, even though I was dating his youngest daughter and I was a rather gloomy kid. He was a kind man who always had a joke ready and a keen wit...sometimes I think he just wanted me to smile. Thank you Gene for treating me with respect and making a gloomy/grumpy kid smile.

Dear Tami and family, I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing and my thoughts are with you during this rough time. I didn't know your dad too well, but what I remember of him was good - he was funny and engaging and I'm sure he was a great grandpa. My best to you and yours - Patience

As one poet wrote: They will come back, come back again as long as the red earth rolls. He never wasted a leaf or a tree would he waste a soul? My condolences to you and family. Nina S. Flanders

I am so incredibly sad to hear of Gene's passing. He was a beautiful, wonderful person. A friend to everyone and always ready to help. I love him dearly, even though it has been so many years since I was able to enjoy his company. I am grieving along with my sister and nieces! Love you guys so much! Wish I could be there with you in person, but my heart and my love are! LOVE YOU!

I will be with the family in my thoughts all this week. I have always been impressed with the support you have for one another and I know you will be in the best company for jokes and tears.
