Dear Jay and Lee Ann,
I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was my doctor for several surgeries and I could always rest easy knowing that Doc Wittenstrom was in charge.
Please extend my condolences to your mom.
With sincere sympathy,
Geri Yaccino,

Dear Barb and Family,
It is with much saddness that I send our sincere condolences at this most difficult time. You have been in my thoughts daily and after receiving the email, I had a hard time sleeping that night...the fact that we recently enjoyed such a great week with both of you at Lake Geneva and how quickly life can change. I am looking forward to being with you all on the 25th of Oct. and will be happy to do whatever I can for you when I am in Illinois. I will be happy to stay overnight with you if you wish.
I know Gene lived a full life, loved his family, his sailing and boating and his profession. Perhaps he and Dick are having a good visit together now and will be watching over us.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you, Barb.
The obituary shared what a great man Gene was. He will be greatly missed.
Love, Ruth and Family

My deepest sympathy to his family. I had been a patient of his until I moved to WA state.
Dr. Wittenstrom was always very caring to all his patients and most of all while under his care you were number one. He will be grately missed and may the wonderful memories help bring peace during this difficult time.
God Bless,

Barbara and family -
So sorry to hear of Gene's death. He was a lovely man. I haven't been able to join in many LSSI functions for a time, due to my work and the serious illness of my youngest son, but I have fond memories of Gene from past LSSI events. Blessings and Peace -

Dear Barb, I am so shocked and so sorry. He supported the Network so well in our early years. It made me happy to know that he was a member of the LGYC...good memories at a sad time. Blessed be, Jody Hedberg

I am so saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Eugene. I was an Elgin High School classmate and also a past patient of his. He was the best in my book!

We are so very sad to hear about Dr. Wittenstrom's sudden passing. I worked for him at Fox Valley Orthopaedics for approx 10 years. He was a great man, a great doctor, and his patients just loved him...as did those who worked for him. I know he will be terribly missed by many people. Our most sincere sympathy goes out to Barb, Jay, LeeAnn and the rest of the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.
