Eula Mae Self Rosenbalm "Granny" Eula Mae Self Rosenbalm "Granny", 80, of Bristol, Va., went home to be with our lord on Monday, October 7, 2013, at NHC of Bristol. She was born in Johnson City, Tenn., on June 12, 1933, a daughter of the late Noah and Katherine Blevins Self. Eula lived most of her life in the Bristol area and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bill "Pap" Rosenbalm Sr. She is survived by her children, Mary Thomas, Bill Rosenbalm and wife, Cathy, Andy Rosenbalm, Charles Rosenbalm and wife, Angie, Ernest Rosenbalm and wife, Janine, all of Bristol, Va., and Christine Woods and husband, Steve of Piney Flats, Tenn.; several sisters, nieces and nephews; 12 wonderful grandchildren; and 12 precious great- grandchildren. Her life was blessed by her family. If she could help her family, she was happy. Mostly by praying for them. But things of this world did not matter to her. She was an old fashioned, praying and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister in the Lord. A funeral service will be held 8 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Friendship Baptist Church, 20572 Benhams Rd., Bristol, VA 24202, with the Rev. Dennis Burnette and the Rev. Chris Salley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the service at the church. The interment will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013, at Pine Hill Cemetery. There will be a funeral procession leaving Friendship Baptist Church 10:30 a.m. to go to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andy, Brandon, Naman, Stevie, Charlie, and Greg.
