Graveside Services honoring Eunice Martin will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 @ 1:00pm at Clemons Cemetery, Muske Lane in Pattison, Texas 77423.
Eunice Martin was born November 23,1933, in Waller County Texas to Charlie and Jessie Tryals. She was the eighth child of ten born to her parents.
She received her elementary and high school education in Waller, Texas. In pursuit of higher education and desire to learn more, she left Waller, County and moved to Denver, Colorado where she attended Parks School of Business; and she learned 10 key operation, word processing, Xerox Machines, operator transcriber, and she acquired typing skills of 70-80 wpm; and she became certified as a Legal Secretary Procedures (740 hours) and Shorthand (100 wpm). After her studies at Parks, she soon relocated to Los Angeles where she further her studies and attended Southwest Community College; and later she attended University California Los Angeles (U.C.L.A) while working as a secretary and obtained an Associate of Arts Degree and her teaching credentials.
With her educational skills, she begins work for Neighborhood Adult Participation Project in Los Angeles, where she was promoted from Secretary to Administrative Assistant to Basic Education Instructor, and Clerical Skills Instructor.  She also worked for the NAACP in their N.A.P.P. Program.  When that program ended, she begins work with Rakestraw Community Education Center as staff supervisor.  While in Los Angeles, she was Program Coordinator Brotherhood Crusade where she taught, job preparation classes.  She was also the Program Coordinator for South Central Multi-Purpose Senior Citizen Center; and she taught Office Clerical Careers at Harbor Occupational Center until retirement.  She was recognized for her grant writing proposals for the city and county of Los Angeles; as well as received federal funding for Rakesteraw and South Central.  
In her quest for learning, she was baptized in Los Angeles California at Bethany Church of Christ.  She was also known for her love of her family and children as she was the mother to five sons.
This world was blessed with Eunice Martin. She was called home on Thursday, December 30, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Norman Finney and Christopher Martin; one grandson, Derrick Finney; and nine siblings.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her beautiful memories: Sons, Rickey Finney, Spencer Finney, Daryl Finney; Granddaughter, Dareja Finney, Great Granddaughter, Olivia Finney; Grandson, Kavon Williams; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
