Eva M. Baker

Eva M. Baker, 99, of Houston, TX went to be with her Lord on August 8, 2017. She was born July 30, 1918 in Parkersburg, WV to Ira and Loraine McClure.

Eva married Val Baker, the love of her life, in New Orleans, LA in 1954 when both were working for Eastern Airlines.
In 1962 Eva and Val moved to Houston where Eva worked for First City National Bank for many years.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Val, who went to be with his Lord on September 16, 2016. Val was 95 years old.

She is survived by her son Craig Lindamood and wife Beverly of Willis, TX and grandsons Jason Lindamood, Matt Lindamood and wife Kate. She is also survived by her sister, Wilma Simms and nephews Jeff Simms and Roger Simms of Centerville, OH.

Eva and Val attended Lakewood Church for many, many years. Most importantly, Eva loved and served Jesus as reflected in the life that she lived. She especially loved to pray for others. She was a true "prayer warrior".

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Psalm 116:15

She will be missed greatly.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm in The Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024.
