Eva D. Eaves

SHAMOKIN DAM - Eva D. Eaves, 72, of 98 King Ave., passed away at 1:48 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009, at the Williamsport Hospital. She had been hospitalized for the past month.
She was born July 26, 1936, in Elkland, Pa., a daughter of the late Donald and Imogene (Weaver) Enderle. On April 16, 1954, she married Nathan W. Eaves, who survives.
Eva attended Brookside Ministries in Shamokin Dam.
She enjoyed reading, and had a natural ear for music, playing the piano, keyboard and accordion.
The great joy of her life was her family, particularly her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 55 years, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen M. and Nick Swartz, of Millerstown, Cynthia J. and Jim Dreese, of Northumberland, and Debra E. and Richard Frischkorn, of Wisconsin; one son and daughter-in-law, Nathan D. "Don" and Sheila Eaves, of Middleburg; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three sisters, Joyce Hurlburt, of Elkland, Dawn Starkweather, of Osceola, and Muriel Baker, of Elkland.
She was preceded in death by a son Jerry L. Eaves on Oct. 15, 1993; and one sister, Donna Enderle.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Brookside Ministries, Shamokin Dam, where the funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Jerry R. Helman, officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
